Let me tell you how a budget-conscious American family saved $1,000s on their vacation by using something they’re very familiar with – Google. On the way home from work, I stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. As usual, I got side-tracked looking at the circular rack and found myself in front of the travel deals. After flipping through a few pamphlets, I noticed something called Priceline bidding for $50 here and there when it should have been about $180 for Atlanta hotels on Labor Day weekend. And then it dawned on me…What if I bid on that same hotel in Denver instead?
