Vacation For Heroes delivers week-long trips to wounded combat veterans, first responders and children with life-threatening medical conditions. These individuals are given an opportunity to escape their life of pain, stress and uncertainty for a moment. They’re sent to unsuspecting places like a beautiful beach resort or fine dining experience — any place that’s paid for in full by generous donors. The program’s founder travels around the country with her team offering veterans VIP experiences with high-end service providers (massages, top-level accommodations and more). Veterans are treated better than anything they’ve experienced before — it’s a trip of a lifetime. These one-of-a-kind luxury vacation packages are free or heavily discounted because generous donors believe in the cause and have contributed to cover all expenses.
Every year, veterans and military families have to say goodbye for months, sometimes for years.
