Would you like to visit India? If you’re a citizen of Sudan, traveling to the country isn’t easy. While Sudan is one of India’s important trading partners — bilateral trade between the two countries is worth more than $8 billion annually — Indian visas are not readily issued to the citizens of Sudan.

It’s uncommon for a country to deny entry based on religious beliefs. And Sudan is no exception. The government of Sudan allows all faiths within its borders except for the Baha’i Faith, which was established in 1863.

Sudan Visa for Indians is a visa that allows you to visit Sudan. It is also known as a Sudanese visa, or a Sudan visa for Indian nationals.

You need to apply for this visa if you are travelling from India to Sudan via any route. You can apply for the Sudan visa online or on paper. You have to submit your application at least 2 weeks before your trip so that you can get the visa in time for your trip.

The cost of applying for this visa will differ depending on how much time you need it for and whether you want it in person or by post. The fees are charged per year of validity, so if you want it to last 1 year then there will be an additional charge made up of two years’ worth of fees combined together into one payment (this is due to how visas work).

Sudan Visa for Indians

Indian nationals can obtain a Sudanese visa on arrival at the Khartoum International Airport in Sudan. Indians can also apply for a Sudanese visa at the nearest Sudanese embassy or consulate in India. All Indian nationals are required to have a valid passport with them. A valid passport is one that is not expired and has at least 6 months of validity remaining after your return date from Sudan. If your passport contains more than one page, you must carry all pages with you when travelling to Sudan.

The cost of a visa depends on your nationality and whether you’re applying at an embassy or consulate, or at an airport. The fee is approximately USD10 and can be paid in US dollars or euros only (no other currency accepted). The fees do not change based on the duration or purpose of your stay, however there may be additional charges for express processing.

You will need two passport-size photographs taken within the last three months; these will be attached to your application form when submitted for processing at an embassy/consulate or airport.

Usually the applications are sent back for want of more documentation when one applies for an Indian visa. I am referring to Indian passport holders and those belonging to neighboring countries. Entry number 3 on the list requires all passport holders from the neighboring countries and Africa to obtain a Sudan visa prior to entry into Sudan. If a Sudan visa is not obtained prior to entry then one will be refused entry into the country. Currently, it is possible to obtain a Sudan visa either prior entry into Sudan or upon arrival at Khartoum airport. It is recommended that one obtain the visa prior to departure.
