  • Visit – https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/visa-and-emirates-id/track-visa-application-and-validity.
  • Click on ‘Track Your Application Status’.
  • Enter the ‘Request Number’.
  • After Entering your Request Number click on Search.
  • Then the status of your Visa application will be shown on the screen.

Once the applicants complete the online UAE visa application procedure, they are provided with a receipt number, the receipt number can be used along with the passport number to retrieve the progress of the visa application.

New Iraqi visa requirements affect the travel plans of Indian Pilgrims

The travel plans of over 2,000 Indian pilgrims to New Iraq have been disrupted due to the new visa rule imposed by the Iraqi authorities. According to the new rule, all the travellers who are issued visas for one week need to provide a medical report or health fitness certificate issued by a qualified doctor.

This is the first-ever nation that is asking its visitors who are scheduled to travel on pilgrim visas to go for medical tests that include a chest X-ray, blood tests for communicable and infectious diseases. Apart from this, the pilgrims should also be double vaccinated and are needed to produce negative Real-Time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) 72 hours before their journey.

COVID PCR rules have been eased on India UAE travel

The decision by Indian airlines to waive the Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test requirement for passengers travelling from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India who has taken both vaccination doses in India may increase tourist movements from India to the UAE.

On Saturday, SpiceJet, Air India Express, and Go Air declared that travellers from the United Arab Emirates to India who has taken the two vaccination shots in India will be free from carrying negative PCR tests. This new relaxation does not apply to travellers who received vaccinations in the UAE. This recent announcement was made after the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed between India and UAE on Friday.

Expats who fail to return within visa expiry from Saudi to face 3-year ban

As per an announcement by the General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia, expats who left the country on a re-entry visa and have failed in coming back to the country before the expiry of the visa will be banned for a period of three years from entering the country. Several expats continue to live in their native countries despite knowing the existence of the rule. Various Keralities who hold a re-entry visa have not yet returned to the country due to Covid-19. Some of the visa holders have been staying in their native for over one and half years due to the travel ban.

UAE allows entry of expats with valid residency visas and fully vaccinated with approved Covid-19 vaccine

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has now permitted expatriates to enter the country with a valid residency visa after taking two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine which is approved. However, visas would have to be renewed for those expatriate residents who have stayed for more than six months outside the country as their visas will then be cancelled automatically. A new entry permit will have to be applied for to enter the country again. The new rules do not permit expatriates to re-enter the UAE during the grace period after expiry of their visa. The grace period is for 30 days. Their existing visa would have to be canceled and a new entry permit will have to be applied for by their sponsor or employer. The sponsor can also be a spouse or parents. Dubai-issued residency visa holders will have to get approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs while visa holders from other Emirates will have to get approval from the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship.
