2021-22 Calendar Approved

Draft SFUSD 2018-19 calendar
SFUSD is the district that operates San Francisco Public Schools. They are in charge of keeping track of when the students should be in school, and when they receive their breaks. There are many different calendars out there to choose from, but SFUSD has chosen one specific calendar for all students in California. This calendar is called a “rolling” schedule because it rolls over from one year to the next without a break in between (unless you’re looking at the 2023-2024 academic year).
The first day of school for SFUSD is August 15th, 2021. This means that if your child starts school on this date (which they probably will), then they will have approximately 10 weeks left until Christmas break begins! While schools typically re-open around January 1st or 2nd each year, there isn’t any official information yet about when exactly SFUSD’s doors might swing open again after winter holidays end; however, it’s likely they’ll reopen sometime around mid-January 2022 (just keep an eye out!).
