Budget Travel | Vacations for Real People

San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in California and has a lot to offer visitors. There are many hotels available to accommodate your trip, from luxury resorts to quaint inns. If you’re looking for affordable accommodations without sacrificing comfort or convenience, then check out these 10 best hotels in San Diego:

The Hotel Del Coronado

The Hotel Del Coronado is located on Coronado Island, which is a small island just off the coast of San Diego. This 4-star hotel sits right on the beach and has its own private beachfront. Guests can rent bikes and ride along the shoreline or take a ferry to visit the San Diego Zoo on nearby Balboa Island. The hotel also has an outdoor pool and spa with amazing views of the ocean, plus an indoor heated pool if you want to swim year-round!

Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle Near Seaworld

We do not have a car, so we have to be deliberate about where we stay. I’ve found that Days Inn by Wyndham is a great option for affordable lodging in San Diego, especially if you want to be near SeaWorld. It’s located on Hotel Circle S which is great because you can walk to Seaworld (about 1 mile), Mission Beach and Pacific Beach (about 2 miles), San Diego Zoo Safari Park (~3 miles) and Legoland (~5 miles).

There are tons of places to eat nearby as well as grocery stores if you need anything. If you want more options, there is also a Target several blocks away!

The price at this particular Days Inn right now is around $50 per night depending on the season. They often offer discounts depending on how many nights you book and with what promotions they are running at the time. The staff was friendly when I stayed here. The room had everything we needed for our stay including an ironing board and iron! Check out reviews from other guests before booking though just in case there may be something specific that would bother them but not bother someone else like noisy neighbors or loud traffic outside their window…

The Pearl Hotel boasts great reviews online, though some guests feel that it’s overpriced compared to other hotels in town.
