The water here is also unusually clear and shallow compared with other beaches around Florida. This makes it great for swimming or snorkeling during high tide; however, during low tide there are some very interesting creatures that come out to play on the ocean floor (such as sea cucumbers). You can even see sharks! If you’re an avid diver or snorkeler then this might be a great place for you; otherwise just enjoy the clear water from above.
There are many different activities available at Pensacola Beach including surfing, swimming, sailing, snorkeling and kayaking. If you are looking for an off-the-beaten path adventure then check out Fort Pickens which is located on Santa Rosa Island just off of Pensacola Beach. This fort was built during the Civil War by Union troops and today it serves as both a historical landmark and a recreational area for visitors from around the world who come here to enjoy its beauty!

“Airstream of dreams” What a lovely weekend get away. From the well maintained RV park, to the immaculate airstream. The only problem is that we wanted to stay for longer than the weekend! The owners checked in on us during to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions. They made sure we got a tour of the park and the airstream. There is so much to do just in the RV park, not to mention in the surrounding area of Navarre and Pensacola. If you bring your pet, there is an off leash dog park at the site, a pet friendly beach a short drive away in Pensacola and several pet friendly restaurants. We are already looking at the calendar for we can book again.

“Nice Home On The Bay” Exactly as advertised and value priced for beach trip at peak season. Very nice CLEAN unit in beach home in a small cove on Hudson Bay. Convenient access to Marina, quick walk to the bay, and less than 5 minutes to several choices of public beach accesses, three of which we utilized, all wonderful. Owner and unit manager responded quickly to email/call with brief wifi outage (no fault of owner) and manager showed up at unit to trouble-shoot issue within minutes. Unit C is upstairs, not appropriate for anyone who cannot climb stairs to enter an apartment. Loft bedroom was perfect for two young adult daughters. Living/den area was very clean and roomy for family of four plus family dog. Master bedroom average size. All mattresses, including sofa mattress very comfortable. If interested in kayaking or canoeing, this rental would be ideal, as there is a public launch within 25-50 yards, bring your own and fishing gear, lots of old wooden structures near the marina that should be great fishing. Charter cruisers and fishing are also located next door.

“Beautiful Cottage” This cottage is clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities of a high-end hotel room. Extremely comfortable bedding, cold air conditioning, an outdoor table and chairs, and much appreciated peace and quiet. The owners made sure we had all the comforts of home during our stay. This is the first time we have used an airbnb and we would definitely do so again.
