Party places in astoria ny

Astoria is a city in New York City, located on the north side of Long Island. It is bordered by the East River and the Newtown Creek, and it has a population of about 45,000 people.

The history of Astoria dates back to 1630, when fur trader Van Tienhoven bought land from local Native Americans in what was then known as “Nieuw Amersfoort” (New Amsterdam). The area then became known as Van Tienhoven’s Island, which eventually became “Astoria.”

Today, Astoria is home to many attractions that make it one of New York’s most popular tourist destinations. Here are some of our favorite party places in Astoria:

Studio Square NYC

Studio Square NYC is situated on 36th Street between 35th and 36th avenues, the massive (nearly) 30,000 square feet space is an incredible event and entertainment destination, and the best part is that you don’t have to travel into the city to experience it. The venue can hold over 2,000 revelers so from Quiet Clubbing to Monday Night Football, there’s always fun to have at Studio Square. The space offers four different sections –

The Garden brings the spirit of an open-air, Bavarian beer garden into the modern era. Over 19,000 square feet of outdoor space with long communal picnic tables, river birch trees, ivy covered walls and cobblestone blocks create a green oasis amid the ever more sterile urban landscape.

Don Coqui

Don Coqui offers Latin flavor, specifically, Puerto Rican, in the heart of Astoria. You’ll get the best of both worlds when you walk through the door – fine dining and a chic lounge. Don Coqui serves all of Puerto Rico’s greatest delights such as their famous Pernil (Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder), Paella, Empanadas and Churrasco (Skirt Steak), as well as American staples like Rib Eye Steak.

When you’re through with dinner, Don Coqui has two versatile rooms which are equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including intelligent LED lighting, 10,000 watts of sound, and seventeen 52” LED screens. There’s no better way to work off those delicious calories than with a little two-step.

Cavo

When you’re truly ready to let your hair down and throw on the stilettos, then you should runway walk it to Cavo. The space has a lot to offer, there is secluded yet open outdoor dining area that makes you feel as if you’re in a courtyard.

With trees and plants surrounding you, you can easily forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Offering a full food and bar menu, this may be your destination to get over those Summer blues.

Queen’s Room

Queen's Room

At this regal eatery and bar, you’ll be treated like royalty—especially on Tuesday nights, when beer, wine and well drinks are two for one. (Trivia goes down at 7pm, too.) As for the bites, you can’t go wrong with the mussels provençal or the signature bourbon BBQ burger with a side of thick—and addictive—hand-cut fries.

Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden

Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden

New York’s oldest beer garden still has it, serving a variety of brews on tap and Czech and Slovak cuisine  that’s worth licking your plate. Order a massive stein and a grilled bratwurst in honor of Oktoberfest or swing by for events like the Vinyl Revolution Record Show on September 30, when a $5 cover fee grants you access to some great, rare LPs.

Mar’s

Mar's

This warm, moodily lit bar-restaurant is a popular local hangout and a great date spot, featuring a seafood-centric menu that melds Mediterranean influences with New England traditions. There’s also adventurous cocktails, which highlight exotic ingredients like applejack-soaked Mission figs.

 The Highwater

The Highwater

The hippest neighborhood in Queens has a literal Highwater mark. Bright and breezy, the Highwater is a tropical oasis for both the down-to-earth and the down-to-fuck. At the Highwater you feel like you’re exhaling the whole time. It’s liquid yoga.

The Let Love Inn

The Let Love Inn

Perhaps Astoria’s best kept secret, this old-fashioned jazz bar checks off all the boxes. It boasts a great cocktail, beer and wine list, has a warm and cozy atmosphere, plus incredible live music (with no cover!). On Monday nights, jam out to tunes provided by Adam Platt Trio, get funky with the Subtonic Three on Tuesday at 9pm and get into the groove with guest DJs on Friday and Saturday evenings. In case you were wondering, the haunt gets its name from Nick Cave’s heartbreaking hit “I Let Love In,” which is one of the owner’s (Evan Rumeliotis) favorites.
