One of the prominent features of the church is the timber used and the main beam, which is said to be brought from the Palace of Tipu Sultan at Srirangapatna.

Botanical Garden is a sprawling beauty spread across 55-hectare with the panoramic views of the Doddabetta peak in the background. Established in the year of 1897, this horticulture park features more than 1000+ species of exotic plants, shrubs, ferns, bonsai and herbal plants.

Ponds with eye-catching lilies, orchids and beds of flowers arranged according to Italian style makes this place ideal for short rejuvenation and is a favourite among holiday seekers during weekends.

Doddabetta Peak

Located just 10 km from Ooty bus stop, Doddabetta is South India’s highest mountain peak at a height of 2,623 meters (8650 feet). The jaw dropping views of the forests of Bandipur National Park, Chamundi Hills and the whole district from the summit will leave you stunned. Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary

Located just 2 km from the Nilgiris District, this national park is a breeding ground for animals like wild boar, panthers, tigers, barking deer, gaur and many more. Also regarded as Tiger Reserve, this wildlife sanctuary is a wonderful scenic place spread across 32,155 hectares. One can also spot birds like Grey Jungle Fowl, Brown Dove, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Bulbuls, peacocks and many more playing in their natural habitat.

Established in 1940, Mudumalai was the foremost sanctuary in Southern India. Besides spotting the wildlife species, tourists can also spend some peaceful moment at Mayar waterfalls located within the premises or feed the elephants present at the Theppakadu Elephant camp.

Dedicated to Lord Muruga, this Hindu temple located amidst gorgeous landscape, boasts rich bounteous nature and flourishing wildlife. The museum is housed in a 130-year old Colonial Mansion proximate to the center of town and Ooty Lake. This place is located at a distance of 28 kms away from Ooty and considered to be one of the best places to enjoy Ooty in summer. Surrounded by the lush-greenery and the amazing landscapes, this place is one of a kind. The creation of the lake happened after a massive landslide around the time of the 1800’s hence the name of the lake is Avalanche. The place is particularly famous for trout fishing and the essential equipment for this can be found at the Trout hatchery. Alongside this the place is also known for other activities like camping, rafting and trekking.
