To apply for an online Mozambique tourist visa, it is expected that eligible citizens will be required to fill in a simple Mozambique visa application on the internet with basic passport personal and passport information, to receive an approved eVisa sent by email.
The period of stay permitted with the Mozambique visa online and the visa validity have not yet been announced, but it is expected to allow a short stay in the country for business, tourism, or transit purposes.

Mozambique eVisa Requirements
In order to submit an online visa application form, it will first be necessary to comply with the Mozambique visa requirements.
Electronic Mozambique tourist visa requirements will oblige the applicant to have:
- An eligible passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the intended date of arrival in Mozambique
- A valid credit/debit card to pay the eVisa processing fee
- A current email address to which the approved visa will be sent.
Additional supporting documentation, such as return flight tickets, proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay, and a recent photograph of the traveler, may also be requested during an eVisa application, although this is yet to be confirmed.
Mozambique business visa requirements are expected to be the same as those for a tourist eVisa, although applicants may also need to provide a copy of a letter of invitation from a business entity in Mozambique.
Upon arrival in Mozambique, it is expected that travelers will be required to present a printout of the approved eVisa alongside their passport to gain entry to the country.
It is also expected that eVisa holders arriving from a country where Yellow Fever is present will be required to present a valid certificate of vaccination at border control, otherwise a vaccine at the traveler’s own expense will be necessary.

Covid Update for Mozambique

International passenger flights have resumed. Travelers aged 11 and over arriving in Mozambique must present a printed medical certificate in English, French, or Portuguese proving that they received a negative coronavirus PCR test result at most 72 hours before departure. This does not apply to nationals and residents of Mozambique who have been outside of Mozambique for less than 7 days. The PCR test they have obtained before departure is valid for 7 days. Nationals and residents who have been outside the country for longer periods and do not have a negative test must quarantine and be tested on arrival. Visa on arrival facilities for nationals of Bangladesh, Eritrea, India, Pakistan, Somalia and Sri Lanka are currently suspended. Passengers are subject to health screening, and may be tested again and quarantined upon arrival for 14 days.
