Long Term Visa For Parents In Germany

Are you looking for a long term German visa? If yes, then you are at the right place to get yourself a visa for Germany.

Whether you are an International student studying in Germany, a business person overstaying in the country beyond the three-months Schengen visa duration, or an expatriate waiting for years to extend his/her visa, getting a long term Visa is not a walk in the park.

When people think of moving to another country, they don’t always think about the family members that aren’t able to move with them. Many people often forget about their aging relatives and parents who may be struggling to get around and manage their independent living on their own. In fact, a 2013 study done by Pew Research Center entitled “Sending Their Best: The Globalization of Education” revealed that 12% of the foreign born population in the USA is 65 or older. Many times, these older adults still have children or grandchildren who live in another country. This can cause many problems for their families that are thousands of miles away, especially when it comes time for a parent’s visa renewal overseas.

The Germany government, on behalf of its people, offer a visa called Aufenthaltstitel. This visa is offered in three different categories, each offering different rights to the applicant. Each category also has their own set of documents that must be submitted in order to apply for it.
