Linklaters is a global law firm with offices in cities around the world. They believe that their people are their greatest asset, and they want to make sure they have the opportunity to grow professionally by working on interesting projects and learning new skills.
The annual Linklaters winter vacation scheme is designed to give their lawyers and trainees the chance to do just that. The program runs for three months, from October through December. During this time, participants visit different cities around the world and work on challenging projects for clients from different industries. They also participate in activities like team-building games and cultural excursions so they can get to know each other better.

Job Description
Are you a penultimate or final-year undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate interested in a career in commercial law? Our winter, spring or summer vacation schemes will offer you a taste of life in commercial law at a global firm. They will put you in the best possible position to secure a Training Contract here. We’ll also pay you £450 per week while you’re with us.
During your two week winter and spring and four week summer scheme, you’ll be involved in real deals, sit with a Principal, work hard and enjoy an active social life. You’ll also attend professional development sessions which offer a broader understanding of our global business strategy and practice areas, and help you to develop essential skills like negotiation and pitching.
After attending the Vacation Scheme, we’ll automatically offer you a final interview for our Training Contract with a Partner and Managing Associate. The selection process for our Schemes is tough, because they are there to help prepare you, and we want you to be successful in your Training Contract application.

How to apply
- Complete the short online application form (approx. 30 mins)
- Take the Capp online assessment (approx. 60-90 mins)
- Take the Watson Glaser critical reasoning test. *We strongly advise you take a practice test first.
Candidates must complete the short online form and the Capp Online assessment by the application deadline. You will have a 5-day deadline, from the date of your application, to complete the Watson Glaser online test. Please note, there are no time limits to any of our assessments.
