How To Get Sponsor Visa In Australia

The Immigration Department has introduced sponsor visas as part of its family and skilled migration plans.  Sponsors are given the power to nominate an immigrant and control their welfare.

The recent changes to the 457 Visas has made it harder for international visitors to get Subclass 457 Sponsored Visas in Australia. However, it still remains a popular visa among many and so I have created a guide to help you understand such and plan your trip correctly.

How To Get Sponsor Visa In Australia

Visa sponsorship is one of the most popular ways to obtain your Australian permanent residency. Partner Visa, Dependent Visa and Business Visa (either skilled or business investor) are all visa classes available under this category.

If you sponsor a spouse, child or parents you may be eligible to apply for the Significant Funds (Significant-Partner) visa (subclass 838). The subclass 838 visa allows a partner of a resident of Australia to come to Australia as a permanent resident. The minimum funds required for this visa is $A95,000 (Other Visa Options).
