How To Get Korean Visa In Dubai

The Korean government has recently announced that they would issue new E-2 visa policy. Under the new Korean visa policy, you can apply for Korean E-2 Visa in Dubai as long as you are working in UAE. For example, If you’re a teacher in Al Shorooq Schools, UAE, you’re eligible to apply for the new Korea visa.

The new rule in emirate of Dubai has made it very easy for Dubai residents to apply for a PKC (Proof of Korea citizenship). In order to understand this procedure, there are few things one needs to know:

How To Get Korean Visa In Dubai

Please note that the most commonly applied for visas and their requirements are listed below. Please be aware that your country may have a visa agreement with the Republic of Korea that has different terms and requirements than those listed below. C-3-4 [ Business ] ​

  • A completed visa application form, which has been signed by the applicant or parent(or guardian) if the applicant is under 16 years old.
  • A photograph, which must have been taken within the past 6 months. Printed photographs are not accepted.
  • An original signed and stamped employment/no-objection letter from the employer which clarifies the applicant’s full name, nationality, passport number, position, salary, the purpose of the visit and other pertinent information and a copy of the commercial license from the employer.
  • Notarized Original Invitation Letter, Guarantee Letter (shin/won/bo/jeong/seo 신원보증서), and a Business Registration(sa/up/ja/deong/rok/jeong 사업자등록증) copy from Company in Korea.
    • **The letter of invitation and guarantee which is stamped by company registered seal impression must be notarized or attested by a notary or a lawyer within the Republic of Korea who has been licensed by the Republic of Korea in order to verify authenticity of the documents.
    • **초청장과 신원보증서는 법인인감 도장이 찍힌 서류로 공증사무소나 공증변호사로부터 서명인증(공증)이된 원본이여야함.
  • Original Passport, which must be valid for more than 6 months and has more than two blank visa pages left, and a passport copy(A-4 size).
  • A copy(A-4 size) of the UAE residence visa, which should be valid for more than 3 months from the day of departure, if not a UAE national.

​C-3-1 [ Training, Friendly Match, Internship, Seminar, Conference ]

  • A completed visa application form, which has been signed by the applicant or parent(or guardian) if the applicant is under 16 years old.
  • A photograph, which must have been taken within the past 6 months. Printed photographs are not accepted.
  • An original signed and stamped employment/no-objection letter from the employer which clarifies the applicant’s full name, nationality, passport number, position, salary, the purpose of the visit and other pertinent information and a copy of the commercial license from the employer.
  • Applicants attending events hosted/organized by private companies will require a Notarized Original Invitation Letter, Guarantee Letter (shin/won/bo/jeong/seo 신원보증서), and a Business Registration(sa/up/ja/deong/rok/jeong 사업자등록증) copy from Company in Korea with event information if needed. 
    • **The letter of invitation and guarantee which is stamped by company registered seal impression must be notarised or attested by a notary or a lawyer within the Republic of Korea who has been licensed by the Republic of Korea in order to verify authenticity of the documents.
    • **초청장과 신원보증서는 법인인감 도장이 찍힌 서류로 공증사무소나 공증변호사로부터 서명인증(공증)이된 원본이여야함.
  • Applicants attending events hosted/organized by governmental entities will require copies of both the Invitation letter and the guarantee letter, and license copy(고유번호증), but they do not need to be attested.
  • Recent original stamped bank statements and/or financial records in order to determine your financial stability for three months. If you are a salaried or waged employed, you must include bank statements that show your earnings being deposited regularly.
  • A copy of the travel itinerary such as a round-trip ticket and hotel reservation.
  • Original Passport, which must be valid for more than 6 months and has more than two blank visa pages left, and a passport copy(A-4 size).
  • A copy(A-4 size) of the UAE residence visa, which should be valid for more than 3 months from the day of departure, if not a UAE national.
  • UAE nationals who wish to have their domestic workers accompany them to visit the Republic of Korea must submit a No Objection Letter from the sponsor of their domestic worker’s visa. This letter must include the purpose of the visit in detail, the worker’s full name, passport information, position and nationality and other pertinent information. Domestic workers must have evidence of either two years service with present employer, or two years residence in the UAE.
  • UAE nationals who sponsor the visa of a domestic worker must provide an original bank statement from the sponsor’s bank.

C-3-9 [ Tourist ]​

  • A completed visa application form, which has been signed by the applicant or parent(or guardian) if the applicant is under 16 years old.
  • A photograph, which must have been taken within the past 6 months. Printed photographs are not accepted.
  • An original signed and stamped employment/no-objection letter from the employer which clarifies the applicant’s full name, nationality, passport number, position, salary, the purpose of the visit and other pertinent information and a copy of the commercial license from the employer.
  • UAE nationals who wish to have their domestic workers accompany them to visit the Republic of Korea must submit a No Objection Letter from the sponsor of their domestic worker’s visa. This letter must include the purpose of the visit in detail, the worker’s full name, passport information, position and nationality and other pertinent information. Domestic workers must have evidence of either two years service with present employer, or two years residence in the UAE.
  • UAE nationals who sponsor the visa of a domestic worker must provide an original bank statement from the sponsor’s bank.

C-3-3 [ Medical Treatment ] ​

** Please note that the requirements for medical visa listed below are only for those paid for by the UAE government. For a list of requirements for a medical visa not sponsored by the UAE government, please visit our government www.visa.go.kr or www.hikorea.go.kr.

  • A completed visa application form, which has been signed by the applicant or parent(or guardian) if the applicant is under 16 years old.
  • A photograph, which must have been taken within the past 6 months. Printed photographs are not accepted.
  • An original Official Letter from International Patient Care Department of the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi; or if applicable, an Original Official Letter from the Directorate Medical Services of G.H.Q. Armed Forces. If you are not sponsored from the UAE Government, please submit the original stamped bank statement for three months and attested Family Certificate (only for UAE national).
  • Evidence of intended medical treatment from medical institution in Korea. (such as emails, letters, etc.)
  • Original Passport, which must be valid for more than 6 months and has more than two blank visa pages left, and a passport copy(A-4 size).
  • A copy(A-4 size) of the UAE residence visa, which should be valid for more than 3 months from the day of departure, if not a UAE national.
  • UAE nationals who wish to have their domestic workers accompany them to visit the Republic of Korea must submit a No Objection Letter from the sponsor of their domestic worker’s visa. This letter must include the purpose of the visit in detail, the worker’s full name, passport information, position and nationality and other pertinent information. NOTICE​

  • The applicant and their representative(with notarized power of attorney) must be able to communicate in Korean or English.
  • Fill out the form in English language and sign it manually.
  • Submission of additional documents may be requested, after the application is completed.
  • The visa issuance may be denied after the screening of the application. Having all of the required documents does not guarantee a visa.
  • Visa Fee(Card Only) : 40USD(Single-entry), 70USD(Double-entry), 90USD(Multiple-entry)
    • Visa fees may change according to the nationality of the applicant
  • Visa fee is not refundable even if visa is denied.
  • Visa issuance generally takes about 7 working days from the day of submission. However, for such cases in which required documents are omitted, submission of additional documents is requested, or an investigation is required, evaluation might take longer than usual. For the cases which require interviews and investigation (e.g. marriage migrant visa), the evaluation process may take 1~2 months.
  • Application should be submitted in person. Applications submitted by courier service will not be accepted.
  • Complete the documents thoroughly and legibly.
  • Those who have residence visas from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain can apply for a Korean visa at the Consulate in Abu Dhabi. Those who hold residence visas from other areas of the UAE must apply for a Korean visa at the Consulate in Dubai.
