Hong Kong Visa For Sri Lankan Passport Holders

Once you have arrived in Hong Kong, you will have to then get an Identity Card for HK residents (HKID) from the Immigration Department. This card is the equivalent of your passport and acts as a Hong Kong visa all in one. This card is valid for 5 years and you will need it to re-enter HK after your trip outside of HK or to apply for a re-entry permit if going to mainland China, Macau or Taiwan.A visa requirement is defined as an authorization by a given State or entity to allow its residents (or citizens) to enter a particular foreign state for a certain purpose. The visa is usually attached to an approved passport. Every person who wants to enter a country must have a visa, even citizens of that country. The main goal of the visa is to confirm that all persons entering the country can return, and will not become problematic for the host country.
