Spring break is typically associated with vacation and relaxation, but in reality, if you’re a college student, it’s also about doing some serious damage to your bank account. One of my rules for saving however much money I can during the school year is not to spend anything during the month of March. This doesn’t mean that I stop going out with my friends or stop having fun on campus; it just means that I don’t spend any more than I already have. That doesn’t mean I don’t go out with my friends or even go on spring break — it just means that there ares ways to have fun without breaking the bank. Now, as someone who has lived in Fayetteville, AR for most of his life, there are definitely places nearby that I recommend exploring when you want to do something cheap and fun. My favorite ideas are listed below:

Spring break sounds like a good idea, but you’re tired of the warm, spring-like weather. Warm weather is great, but Arkansas is home to some activities that will turn your warm-weather weekend into something you’ll never forget.

I am a senior majoring in finance at the University of Central Arkansas, so I know how hard it can be to find spring break spots that are cheap. With flights as low as $30 roundtrip, these spots are affordable and super fun.

With unique attractions and warm spring weather perfect for outdoor fun, Arkansas is a great choice for a spring break getaway without the typical crowds. Whether you choose a large city with vibrant nightlife or a secluded rural spot nestled in the Ozarks, there are many Arkansas vacation rentals to choose from for your getaway. Here are a few cities and towns to consider for your spring break retreat.

1. Hot Springs

If you really need to de-stress from work or school, Hot Springs is the perfect spring break vacation destination. Hot Springs National Park offers a unique opportunity to soak in natural hot spring water.
