French Beach Vacation

The French Riviera, a gorgeous coastline in France that’s famous for its luxury and notable residents. But the best thing about it is that the coast is just an hour away from the city of Nice, where you can get to see the entire coastline without having to travel much because it’s all within your reach! The French Riviera is composed of 5 main cities: Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Saint Tropez. I stayed for a couple of days in Cannes and then traveled to Nice.

Our family has been vacationing in France for over a decade now. We’ve rented houses along the Mediterranean coast, traveled to Paris and Normandy, and spent time in Lyon. While it can be difficult to take your kids out of a comfortable, safe environment and drop them into a country where they’re not fluent in the language (and, consequently, don’t instantly fit in), it’s also a chance for them to open their minds to new experiences, break out of their shell, learn about culture and history, and build their character.
