We were driving down the main road through a small Smoky Mountain town. The Smokies are full of such towns, and each seems to have a few shops and restaurants but is mostly residential, with long streets of neat houses and lush gardens. The Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina were among my family’s favorite places to vacation. I still remember the first time my father, my sister, and I drove up to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (it’s a long drive). It was beautiful, but there was even more that became our family favorite: Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg is the perfect place for a family vacation. There’s arts and crafts, hiking trails, and tons of other attractions. You can even see the Nascar hall of fame (if you’re into that sort of thing)!

Family Vacation In Smoky Mountains

When my family first decided to go on a family vacation, we were not quite sure what is to be expected. It was around the time our kids where getting more mobile, and wanted to have some freedom to have fun on a trip without being restrained by parents all the time.

Bring your family on a vacation they’ll remember forever in the Great Smoky Mountains. World-class attractions, restaurants serving Southern classics and luxurious places to stay are all surrounded by the beauty of the Smokies. Take in nature and family-friendly fun with a few days in these mountain towns.
