Summer vacation packages are here. Will you be traveling with the kids? If so, don’t forget to bring their cell phones so they can stay in contact with other family members. Summer is fast approaching, and my kids are excited about their two-week family summer vacation to Cape Canaveral. We love reconnecting as a family and looking forward to exploring a new area of the country together. Our children are 5 and 3, so we want to be sure we have child-friendly activities for them.

Summer is the time for family to get-together. However, going home might not be possible this summer, but you can still have a great time together with trips and vacations coordinated around your entire family’s passions. With the right planning, you can have fun together too.

They come with water parks, swimming pools, atrium lobbies featuring synchronized light and fountain shows, escape rooms, and arts and crafts experiences for kids. The Gaylord Opryland even has a unique aquatic attraction known as SoundWaves with water slides, pool parties and pirates and princesses-themed activities.

At Gaylord Palms in Orlando, a new Ultimate Upgrade Package celebrates the hotel’s 20th anniversary. The option to coordinate flights with a visit to a hard-to-reach destination with your hotel stay is quite helpful. Hilton at Resorts World Bimini is offering a package that includes round-trip flights from Fort Lauderdale via Tropic Ocean Airways. The two- or three-night Fly & Stay package starts at $658 per person for a two-night stay with flights and room.

Eligible on-site spending will rack up Hilton Honors points, especially when using a Hilton Honors-affiliated credit card, during a trip to paradise. The 4.5-acre Resorts World Bimini Beach area is similar to party-style beach clubs on other islands and a favorite of sun-seeking guests. Another benefit of this package is that it includes complimentary access to visiting guest performer events and concerts.

The Conrad New York Downtown hotel recently partnered with the author of “Little Kid, Big City!” Beth Beckman, to develop a fun special package and experience for visiting families. The activity booklet, ideal for children between the ages of 8 and 12, gives them the chance to run a scavenger hunt around the city. It doubles as a family-friendly, self-guided tour visiting places like the Bronx Zoo, Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center.

There is a $75 charge for the kit, but when families complete it, they are eligible for a prize. Guests can earn Hilton Honors points when they stay here and multiply those earnings when paying with a Hilton Honors-affiliated credit card.

This popular World of Hyatt Resort in the Bahamas is offering the fourth night free in a special summer package. There are several hotels within the complex. Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and this special package includes free dining for kids under five. This must be booked by June 30 for stays through Dec. 16.

Its neighbors SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar are offering similar family-friendly offers this summer, too. Guests that book a suite at The Coral can take advantage of a free pool cabana.

10. Fourth night free plus perks at Four Seasons Orlando

For starters, this property deserves kudos for not charging a resort fee. From now through Sept. 30, guests can book three nights and receive the fourth night free along with a handful of other included benefits to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. These include free transportation to Disney parks plus free access for 30 minutes before the crowds arrive and access to the spa relaxation areas. Kids four and older can use the kids club for free, and kids five and younger eat free when their parents are paying for a meal at hotel restaurants (there are six).

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort has a five-acre water park plus the only adults’ pool on a Disney property. When traveling with your family, these are costs that can really rack up, and having them included (or getting one night free) can really pay off. Four Seasons does not have a loyalty program, but you will still earn bonus points when paying with a card that earns extra points for travel like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or The Platinum Card® from American Express.

11. Summer sale at Mexican TAFER resorts with breakfast

All rates include breakfast and Wi-Fi, and kids are treated to special gifts to take home. This can be a great way to earn I Prefer Hotel Rewards points while saving some extra cash on a sun-soaked vacation.
