Free visas will be provided to initial 5 lakh passengers
The Central Government will provide free visas to the initial 5 lakh passengers who arrive in India as international flight operations resumed. The facility has been extended in order to promote tourism. Individuals in 170 countries need not visit the Indian Embassy to apply for a visa. Individuals can apply for the visa online and an e-visa will be provided.

US Embassy India issues fresh clarifications on travel ban
US Embassy India said that non-US citizen parents of minor US citizen children, including parents who hold a valid H-1B and H-4 visas, are exempted from travel suspension. The Embassy clarified that they are free to enter US. Students who hold a student visa can enter the country if their classes start on or after 1 August this year.
The embassy maintained that the suspension of most non-immigrant travel to the US by persons physically present in India is inapplicable to American citizens, permanent residents, immigrant visa holders, and other select other sections of travelers.
