Jamaicans need a visa for Ghana if the purpose is to travel to Ghana for business, tourism and other social and professional engagements. Travelers represent an investment by their country and Jamaican nationals should apply for a Ghana entry visa from their local authorized agency after completing all mandatory requirements to ensure that they fulfill the standards set out by the relevant authorities.

The Jamaican passport is the official document to facilitate international travel. The current Jamaican passport was first issued by the Jamaican Government on the 7 th of January, 2015. It replaced the old Jamaican passport that was in use for a period of 24 years. With the new design, it is meant that the passport will be used for 10 years before it can be renewed back again when it expires. This however, doesn’t imply that the previous passports were useless. eVisas are a form of electronic entry permits that are easily accessible when compared to traditional visas.
