Cyprus Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Cyprus tourist visa is issued to travelers who want to enter Cyprus for tourist purposes. 
  • It is also known as a Short stay visa which is why the visa is only issued for a short period of time. 
  • Zimbabweans who want to visit Cyprus to visit family/relatives or for tourism and leisure purposes are eligible for this type of visa. 
  • The holders of this type of visa can enter and exit Cyprus once or multiple times.
  • The duration of your stay will not exceed 90 days in any half of the year from the date of the first visit. 
  • Note that a tourist visa is extendable. 
  • For a visit to family and friends, a letter of invitation is required. The letter has to be duly signed and completed by the host and it should include his/her contact details, house address, and occupation. It should also be signed by the Migration Department. 
  • A copy of a hotel reservation confirmed by the hotel manager would be needed. 
  • An itinerary of travel arrangements showing the arrival date and intended duration of stay. The tickets should be purchased before the visa is issued. 
  • The visa for the return country should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended duration of stay. 
  • Visitors to Cyprus are to have original passports valid for at least three months beyond the period of validity of the visa issued(you will have to make photocopies of the passports too). 
  • A bank statement is necessary to serve as evidence of the applicant’s financial capability of covering their expenses during their intended duration of stay in Cyprus. 
  • A minor traveling to Cyprus unaccompanied is expected to provide a letter of consent signed by both parents.
  • Two passport photos of the minor would be needed. The parents’ passport must be included too. 
  • The Consulate may also ask for a copy of a Bank Guarantee Letter from the host, throughout a visitor’s stay in Cyprus, so as to cover the possible cost of repatriation. Bank Guarantee Letters are issued for the amount of £200.

Cyprus Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to Zimbabweans traveling to Cyprus for business purposes.
  • If you need to travel to Cyprus often (for business etc.), it is possible to get a multiple-entry visa for several visits.
  • The total duration of your stay should not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period.
  • The multiple-entry Cyprus visa for business purposes is valid for one year.
  • Multiple-entry visa requires 10-15 days from the day of application to be ready.
  • The actual cost of the visa depends on the urgency of its obtaining.
  • You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Cyprus company you will be visiting.
  • This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied by the date and actual purpose of your trip.
  • If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
  • If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
  • Your bank statement from the last 6 months is needed.
