Hi, my name is Mark and I’m a student at XYZ. I’m talking to my best friend about our summer vacation. Our families are leaving for different places in the country. What does it mean? Where will you be going? Would you visit any new places? Why do you like this place? See, what do you think of his idea?
Jane: Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good summer. It was certainly hot here in California this year. I don’t know about you guys but it sure seemed like summer flew by. We really didn’t get to do that much traveling this year due to a lot of family commitments, but it was still nice seeing the kids every day at least. As we start preparing for school, what were some of your favorite things to do during the summer?
What are you doing for summer vacation?
I’m going to France! I’m so excited. My parents always take me to France and it’s the best. I’ve been there so many times, but it never gets old. This year, we’re going to Paris, then Brittany for a few days, then Normandy for two weeks. The food is amazing—we love all the cheese and wine!
I’m not sure what our plans are yet. I think we might stay here in the city this year… with all of the commotion over the last few months, it’ll be nice to have some quiet time at home before school starts again in August.
