Children’s Sermon On Summer Vacation

August came and went in an instant. Everything is new, from the green grass to the blue skies to the school supplies. It was pretty hot this summer but we were still able to do some fun things as a family. This month’s sermon talks about ​some of our favorite things.

How could you not love summer vacation? It is a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, travel to exotic places, go on a bike ride during lunch, hike, build your own pillow-fort and spend some quality time reading books. All of the above would be my definition of a perfect summer day.

A long, hot summer vacation is upon us. And with the sun blazing (along with the kids), you may want to skip the typical summer sermon series that’s been preached on summer vacations for years. Instead, how about a series teaching kids how to be smart in the sun? It can be done!

Worship Childrens Sermon

The sermon talks about ways to enjoy summer and not just to sit idle. It told the congregation that summer is a time of preparation, in both, spiritual and academic side. The sermon also spoke about self-motivational activities, doing something great and how to be happy with what you have, even in times of financial crisis.

This sermon calls the children to come to the summer Sunday School and learn about God’s gift of spending time with them this summer. It makes the sermon approachable and fun for both the children and adults.

Summer vacation is a time for rest and relaxation. It’s also a time for fun and adventure, but we often forget that it’s also a great opportunity to learn new things.

The summer is a good time to read books, play video games, or watch movies that teach us something new. If you’re trying to learn something specific, like how to play the guitar or speak another language, this is the perfect time of year to do it! You’re not in school anymore—you have time on your hands and you can use it wisely!

You might not be able to take a class at home with your parents all day every day like you would during the school year (and who could blame them?), but there are still plenty of ways that you can keep learning during your summer vacation. For example:

• Read books about topics that interest you.
• Play video games that teach you something new, like how to play chess or poker (or even just how to use an app).
• Watch educational shows on TV such as “Bill Nye The Science Guy” or “Dinosaur Train”.
