According to a news published in Daily Mirror Canada on Friday, Sri Lankan nationals will be able to travel to Canada more easily. Canada will open its visa application process for residents of Sri Lanka. People from Sri Lanka can apply for a visa from their home instead of submitting applications at a Canadian embassy or consulate.

In response to public consultation on Sri Lanka, Canada stated that it will process the visa applications of Sri Lankan nationals on a reduced turnaround time. In the specified cases, Canada has expressed its readiness to process the applications within 48 hours.

With the recent political issues in Sri Lanka, many are fleeing the country to find a better life. Canada has always been seen as a haven for refugees and immigrants alike. As such, it comes as no surprise that many Sri Lankans are interested in seeking world citizenship through Canada.
