Biometric Appointment For Uk Visa In India

Applying for a UK visa may seem a bit daunting, especially when you’re not doing it in your own country. But if you’ll be applying within your own country, you have the chance to book an appointment and have your papers checked there. This can save time and money, as well as the amount of hassle that comes from traveling long distances. Sometimes, though, you may find yourself without this option. That’s where this article comes into play. I’m planning on going over everything about UK visa biometric appointments to see what you’re getting into — as well as whether it really is worth it!

The officers at UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) has announced that the appointment booking online facility for scheduling the biometrics appointment while applying for a British Visa will be discontinued starting the 1st of February 2018.

If you haven’t already applied for your visa, please visit the UK Visas and Immigration (GOV.UK) website to check what type of visa you should apply for, and the documents that you will need in order to complete your application.

Once you have completed and paid for your visa application on GOV.UK, you will be directed back to the VFS Global website to book an appointment at a Visa Application Centre, so your biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) can be captured.

Please note, you now have 240 calendar days from the date you completed your form on GOV.UK to have your biometrics taken at a Visa Application Centre. Please ensure that you book your appointment at a Visa Application Centre in the country you selected on your application, and attend within 240 calendar days
