We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite places to stay in Cabo that are all-inclusive:

1. Grand Velas Los Cabos

Choosing from the best all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos can be tricky, since the destination has such a fabulous inventory. But when it comes to the best, Grand Velas Los Cabos is at the top of the list. Grand Velas Los Cabos is positioned along the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It’s a sleek, cool hotel with one of the best luxury packages available.

Rooms are contemporary and cool, with light greens, grays, and creams, with clay-colored accents. The entry-level suites are the Ambassador Suites, while higher categories have separate living rooms. All rooms have balconies with ocean views, and some rooms even have private pools.

Beautiful tiered pools are surrounded by luxe daybeds and cabanas, fringed with palm trees. The expansive beach is photo-ready, as well. Restaurants are substantial, with seven on offer around the property. The most luxurious is Frida, the haute Mexican restaurant.

Grand Velas Los Cabos is known for its cavernous spa, as well, which includes a hydrotherapy circuit that is something out of a Grecian painting. There is also a gym and beauty salon.

Accommodation: Grand Velas Los Cabos

2. Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa

With only 246 rooms, Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa is intimate by all-inclusive standards. The spectacular design and location is what secures the resort’s spot as one of the best in Los Cabos.

Surrounded by rose-colored cliffs, not far from the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas, the resort exudes a traditional hacienda style, but at a decidedly elevated price point. The amenities are amazing, from eight pools and three restaurants to an oceanfront spa.

Rooms are elegant and welcoming and decked in that traditional Mexican style with dark wood, leather, pops of color, and white linens. Entry-level Grand Studios start at more than 700 square feet. But the Four Bedroom Penthouses are really where it’s at, with more than 6,200 square feet and a full kitchen, living and dining areas, hot tubs, and private terraces.

The beach at the resort is truly something special. It is wide and clean with a stunning view of the rock formations. Keep in mind, though, that this beach is definitely not suitable for swimming. But the multiple pools more than make up for that.

Address: Av Solmar #1A, Centro, 23450 Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S.

Accommodation: Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa

3. Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos

Set on a dramatic stretch of beach between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, the Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos is brimming with luxe amenities and posh services. From the eight pools to the chic suites, restaurants, activities, and thoughtful touches, it’s easy to see why this is one of the best resorts in Los Cabos.

Suites at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos come in three categories: Junior Suite, One-Bedroom Suite, and Two-Bedroom Suite. All suites are splashy with a clean, white backdrop and touches of silver, grey, and cream. Rooms all have beautiful views, as well as outdoor terraces.

Guests at Garza Blanca will have many dining options to choose from, from Blanca Blue Restaurant to the Bocados Steak House, Hiroshi Restaurant, and a beachfront Food Truck.

Outdoor activities abound, as well, with a tennis court, beach volleyball, and croquet. Of course, the luxury resort has a top-notch spa and fitness center, as well. The spa’s therapy suites are ocean view from the ninth floor of the hotel. Every treatment kicks off with a signature foot ritual, which helps to set the relaxation tone from the moment you enter the spa suite.

Address: Carretera Transpeninsular Km. 17.5, Corredor Turístico, 23405 Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S.

Accommodation: Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos

4. Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos

When Le Blanc opened its Los Cabos resort in 2018, the bar had been set for a new level of all-inclusive luxury. The adults-only, all-inclusive Los Cabos resort is really a vision in every way. From the contemporary design to the elevated dining, the superior spa offerings, and beautiful beachfront location, Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos is one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the area.

Rooms are elegant and understated, with neutral tones, white linens, marble floors, and upholstered headboards. All rooms have balconies, and those on higher floors have views to the pool and ocean.

But it’s the amenities and features that really put Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos in another category. Several restaurants are on offer, but Mezze, with a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern menu, tends to be the fan favorite.

The stunning pool area is fringed in luxury sun loungers, which is good because the ocean in this part of Los Cabos is too rough for swimming. The beach, however, is lovely to look at.

A sprawling spa occupies much of the second floor, with a hydrotherapy circuit that is included in the room rates.

Accommodation: Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos

5. Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort

Just outside San Jose del Cabo sits the 500-suite Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort. Perched on expansive, beautiful manicured grounds, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort is white-glove service all the way and is one of the most well-respected resorts in Los Cabos. Guests are greeted with nothing but sea views and mountains.

All rooms are junior suites with separate sitting areas, which cap out at 1,744 feet. The design swings Spanish Colonial, while artwork points to more indigenous roots. The best views are from the Junior Suite Swim Out Ocean View and Junior Suite Ocean Front. Guests who are part of The Preferred Club are guaranteed upgrades, as well as private check-in, private concierge, and upgraded amenities.

The beach is too rough for swimming, but that doesn’t take away from the stark natural beauty of this stretch of relatively undeveloped coast. Instead, there are three pools: one being a swim-out pool for the ground-floor rooms. The main pool is massive and luxurious, surrounded by lounge chairs and palm trees. A third pool is private for Preferred Club guests.

A spa, golf course, and a host of activities are also available, from outdoor movie nights and yoga to water aerobics and cooking classes.

Accommodation: Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort

6. Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa

Tucked within the Cabo del Sol gated community is this all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos. The beachfront resort has 526 rooms, and is one of the original resorts in the destination. While the interiors are a bit dated, it’s the exterior offerings, and the location, that sets the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos a cut above.

On the corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the resort has natural-colored rooms, with marble floors, wooden accents, and Scandinavian-style decor. The room to book is the Casa Del Mar, which is a separate villa with a decidedly more sophisticated design, as well as its own private pool.

Eight dining venues offer a little bit of something for everyone, from Italian and sushi to a Brazilian-Argentinian steakhouse. The main attraction at the resort are its pools, each with a different theme, from the family pool to an activity pool and one that is adults-only.

Golfers will relish the two famous golf courses nearby, each with 18 holes and views of the surrounding desert and sea. That said, green fees are an additional charge.

Accommodation: Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa

7. Marquis Los Cabos

Perched on The Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Marquis Los Cabos All Inclusive Resort & Spa is one of the more luxurious all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos.

Guests are greeted with a remarkable design, with spaces that blend sleek contemporary style with indoor/outdoor space. The lobby looks out over the sweeping infinity pool and the Sea of Cortez. The vibe swings understated elegance, with soft music filling the air, white furniture, and an elevated simplicity.

The resort has 235 rooms, which range from Junior Suites to the more expansive Presidential Suites and Casitas. All rooms have balconies and ocean views, and upper category rooms have private pools.

But even if you can’t snag a pool of your own, three other pools are open to all guests. Two are infinity pools on the beach, while a third pool sits as a centerpiece of the hotel.

Dining options are plentiful, from a high-end sushi restaurant to outdoor Italian. A visit to the spa is a must, as well, for its intimate outdoor hot tubs that look directly out to sea.

Accommodation: Marquis Los Cabos

8. Paradisus Los Cabos

Perched overlooking a sprawling section of Baja California beach, Paradisus Los Cabos is an elegant, fresh all-inclusive resort that sits between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Unlike other resorts in the area, Paradisus Los Cabos is relatively intimate, with just over 300 rooms, which gives it a relaxing and low-key vibe.

Rooms are split into three categories, but guests who want to level up will want to book the adults-only Royal Service. Families can opt for the Family Concierge.

All rooms have furnished balconies or patios, while the lower floors have Swim-Up rooms. Those rooms in the Royal Service category have additional amenities like butler service and access to a private lounge, as well as a private pool and restaurant.

The pool is the center of attention at the resort, lined with sun loungers, which pop with purple pillows – the resort’s signature color. But one of the best perks of the resort is its swimmable beach, which is uncommon in Los Cabos, where the water is typically too rough for swimming.

Dining at Paradisus Los Cabos has considerable bragging rights, but the one to beat is the Gastro Bar, which serves Basque-style cuisine and is overseen by the Michelin-starred chef, Martin Berasategui.

Finally, the YHI Spa, which is small and intimate, has a wonderful hydrotherapy therapy area and a small fitness center.

Accommodation: Paradisus Los Cabos

9. Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

Hyatt’s iconic family-friendly, luxury all-inclusive Ziva brand makes quite a splash on the Los Cabos scene. The nearly 600-room resort is packed with family activities, from the expansive freeform pool to the fire pits, movie trivia, and a Kidz Club. Plus, this particular Ziva resort seems to have enough touches to keep couples and friend groups happy, as well.

Rooms are modern and clean, with terra-cotta tile floors and tones of blue and beige. Each room has an expansive balcony with an ocean view, or direct access to a pool. Opt for a Club Level room for private check-in and upgraded room amenities.

While the beach isn’t swimmable, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has plenty of water features, from pools to a pond dotted with fire pits. There is also a hot tub and a separate pool designated only for adults.

The Zen Spa is an oasis for adults, with hydrotherapy pools, 18 treatment rooms, and outdoor cabanas surrounded by ponds.

Dining is also a trip around the world, from Japan to France, and, of course, Mexico.

Accommodation: Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

10. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

Designed like a desert oasis on a sprawling stretch of beach, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort is elegant, tranquil, and truly top-notch. The lobby, which is chic and modern, looks out over the posh pool area and wide-open beach.

Just over 200 rooms are spread out around the pool, with 47 located in The Towers, separate buildings that were built more recently and have extra perks, like butler service and their own lounge.

Down on the beach level are two pools and a lovely pool terrace. The Constellation pool is smaller, featuring ocean views, while the infinity pool is freeform and surrounds the Siempre restaurant. The beach area has cabanas and lounge chairs, but the water is much too rough for swimming, like most other beaches in Los Cabos.

One of the main draws of the resort is the exclusive guest access to the Quivira Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course. Here is where guests will find The Oasis restaurant, as well as the clubhouse, which serves fantastic steaks. Note that the green fees and restaurant are an extra charge.

Included restaurants, however, are just as fantastic, particularly Peninsula Restaurant, which serves traditional Baja cuisine.

Accommodation: Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

11. Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa

Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa is all about the energy. The adults-only resort, located in downtown Cabo San Lucas, is chic and modern, catering to young couples and singles who want to have fun. An action-packed calendar of daytime and nighttime events means there is always something going on, while the elevated design ensures guests are consistently pampered.

Rooms are decidedly cool and chic, with light wood furniture and pops of pink. Suites are divided into the Allure or Xhale categories. Xhale Club Suites are where guests get the upgrade, with access to the Xhale Lounge.

While rooms are luxe and lovely, the real scene is out by the pools, where a DJ spins daily. A second pool offers a more subdued vibe. There is a small, private beach area on Playa del Medano, as well.

Restaurants are plentiful, though everyone loves La Biblioteca for its Mexican food and ocean views.

Accommodation: Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa

12. Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

Spilling down a dramatic cliffside overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the Hacienda Encantada Resort and Residences features 237 rooms, all done up in traditional Mexican-style, with a luxury twist. The hotel doesn’t have to be an all-inclusive, but guests can book the all-inclusive package.

With sweeping views over the Sea of Cortez, Hacienda Encantada swings elegant and traditional, with rich wooden furniture, ceramic tile, bright textiles, and traditional art. It is a hacienda, after all. Rooms are massive, even at the entry level, and all come with balconies with furniture. The two-bedrooms and larger units have private plunge pools, as well.

The luxury resort in Los Cabos caters to both families and couples, with three pools, an area for kids, and a spa. The kids’ zone is packed with activities, from foosball and bocce to playgrounds and a kids’ pool.

Dining is delectable, from the traditional Mexican breakfasts to specialty restaurants like Los Ricos, the Mesquite grill. A small spa has al fresco massage rooms, as well as indoor rooms. For those who opt out of the all-inclusive package, a mini-mart is also on property, which is great for guests who want to cook in their own rooms.

Accommodation: Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences

Best places to stay in cabo for couples

Cabo is one of the most popular places to go for a romantic getaway, and that’s not just because of its beautiful beaches and delicious food. The city has an amazing culture and some beautiful architecture, too.

If you want to make sure that your stay in Cabo is romantic and memorable, here are our top picks for where to stay:

1. DREAMS LOS CABOS SUITES GOLF RESORT & SPA

Dreams Los Cabos manages to be both a romantic getaway of the first order, as well as one of the finest family-friendly resorts in the coastal corridor which connects cape cities Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Spacious one-bedroom and family style suites accommodate up to six people in elegant comfort, while the onsite Explorers Club provides supervised activities and adventures for kids ages 3 through 12; all based around the themes of science, nature and exploration.

The club keeps extended hours, a fact that comes in handy for parents in the mood for a romantic side-by-side massage session on the beach, dinner in the suite or at a table in the sand (or at one of the eight other onsite dining options), or for dancing in the Desires lounge.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Dreams is the perfect romantic getaway resort option for couples traveling with children.

2. MARQUIS LOS CABOS

The unique qualities of this beachfront adults-only, all-inclusive are apparent upon arrival: the open-air lobby is framed by a large arch-shaped entryway that looks directly through from the circular drive to the glittering blue waters of the Sea of Cortés beyond. Suites are flawlessly appointed in upscale tropical style, with gorgeous terrace or balcony views, and bathrooms outfitted with both showers and roomy jacuzzi tubs. Romantic couples’ treatments are available at the 13,000 square foot Marquis Spa, and all-inclusive delights include contemporary French cuisine at signature restaurant Canto del Mar, as well as fresh local seafood at Dos Mares, and Pan-Asian cuisine at Sakke. The best of spa and dining pleasures are paired in a special “Marquis Experience” that begins with a 50-minute couples massage, followed by some jetted jacuzzi tub relaxation time before a candlelit dinner for two featuring exceptional food, wine and seaside vistas.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Marquis boasts one of the best adults-only, all-inclusive properties in Los Cabos, with a plethora or romantic activities and amenities.

3. LAS VENTANAS AL PARAISO

Las Ventanas al Paraíso means the windows to paradise, and this Rosewood managed seaside resort delivers the expected spectacular views, as well as luxurious accommodations and amenities distinguished by exquisite attention to detail. How exquisite? Rooms are appointed with wood-burning terracotta fireplaces and telescopes for seasonal whale watching, shower doors boast moon or mermaid shaped handles sculpted by famed Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante, and sunbathers are cooled down with misted Evian water by dedicated “pool butlers.” Drinking and dining are likewise world-class. Chef Anand Singh shows off Indian and Pan-Asian fusion cuisine at Arbol, while master tequiliers work up flavor profiles for guests at the well-stocked Tequila and Ceviche Bar. Championship level golf is available at the nearby Cabo Real course, and the spa features elemental therapies inspired by earth, air, fire and water. Those prepared to spare no expense can also opt for onsite residence, the most opulent of which is the 28,000 square foot Ty Warner Mansion, which costs more than the square footage figure per night, and is named for the billionaire Beanie Babies magnate and owner of the resort.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Las Ventanas al Paraíso pioneered the concept of Los Cabos style luxury under late hotelier Edward Steiner, and remains a top-of-the-line choice for romantic getaways.

4. SECRETS PUERTO LOS CABOS GOLF & SPA RESORT

Secrets is one of several luxurious resorts at the upscale Puerto Los Cabos development just outside San José del Cabo, but the only one that is adults-only. The 500-room property is also all-inclusive, and boasts eight restaurants and six bars, as well as the 13,000 square foot Secrets Spa by Pevonia that specializes in romantic couples’ massages and other pampering treatments for two. Accommodations are impressively designed and appointed, and include ground floor swim-up pools or ocean view balconies, and bathrooms featuring whirlpool tubs and walk-in showers. There are two large infinity pools onsite: one serene and picturesque, the other a dedicated party pool with swim-up bar. Additional amenities include access to lovely La Playita Beach and Questro managed golf courses (including the neighboring 27-hole Puerto Los Cabos course with designs by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman).

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Secrets Puerto Los Cabos is the best adults-only resort in San José del Cabo.

5. FOUR SEASONS RESORT LOS CABOS AT COSTA PALMAS

Pampering couples’ experiences at the aptly named Oasis Spa may be the most notable romantic amenity – two of the eight onsite treatment rooms are dedicated to it, after all – but this new 141-room and suite resort from the acclaimed Four Seasons brand has plenty else to attract those seeking vacation romance, from an adults-only pool sanctuary to bucket list adventures (think secluded waterfalls and incredible snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo National Park). The resort is located on the Los Cabos’ municipality’s lightly developed East Cape at La Ribera, far removed from the typical tourist haunts of cape cities Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. The stylish and magnificently landscaped off-the-beaten-path setting is designed around a gorgeous swath of beach overlooking the Sea of Cortés, with concierges on hand to arrange stand up paddle boarding or other activities, including sailboat excursions from the property’s beach adjacent 250-slip marina. Eight bars and restaurants promise a variety of memorable dining experiences, highlighted by fresh local seafood and produce from the nearby organic farming community of Miraflores. First-class golf and tennis facilities are also on hand, the former headlined by an 18-hole layout from famed course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. that offers stunning views of surrounding desert, mountains and sea.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: This is the most romantic and luxurious resort on Los Cabos’ East Cape.

6. PUEBLO BONITO PACIFICA RESORT & SPA-ALL

One of four Pueblo Bonito resorts in Los Cabos, the adults-only, all-inclusive Pacifica offers excellent accommodations, a full range of pampering spa services, and a picturesque beachside setting on the Pacific Coast of Cabo San Lucas. The most impressive of the property’s rooms are found in The Towers at Pacifica, a resort-within-a-resort concept that features private butlers and an exclusive VIP lounge. The Towers’ Peninsula Restaurant is an ocean-view showcase for fresh and delicious Baja inspired cuisine, while the floor below houses a state-of-the-art fitness center. All guests have access to activities like the “hook and cook” beachfront fishing experience; stargazing “astronomy nights”; and golf at the spectacular Jack Nicklaus designed layout at Quivira Golf Club, which premiered in December 2014 and was immediately acclaimed as a masterpiece, with signature holes winding along the ruggedly beautiful Pacific Coast. Beachfront canopied daybeds with private food and beverage service are another romantic option.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is the premier adults-only resort on the Pacific Coast of Cabo San Lucas.

7. ONE&ONLY PALMILLA RESORT

One&Only Palmilla is regularly rated by travel magazines as the best resort in México, and it’s easy to see why. The commitment to service is unmatched in the region, as evidenced by the 3:1 staff-to-guest ratio, and the some five dozen gardeners working constantly to sculpt the lush and luxuriant grounds. The resort has been around since the 1950s – when it was founded by pioneering Los Cabos developer Rod Rodriguez – and it has remained a benchmark area property through several expansions and upgrades, most notably upon receiving the One&Only imprimatur in 2004. In addition to its excellent accommodations and amenities – private butlers are standard – the resort hosts several excellent restaurants, including SEARED steakhouse from celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Upgrades and renovations in recent years include a 22,000 square foot spa, fitness and beauty facility, with Barber&Blade for men, and manicures and pedicures in a studio designed by famed French podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez. Romantic activities for couples are another specialty, with options that range from private yacht whale watching adventures to spa date couples’ treatments and private dining experiences.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: One & Only Palmilla has been ranked as the best resort in México for over a decade, and specializes in romantic activities for couples.

8. BREATHLESS CABO SAN LUCAS RESORT & SPA

Adults-only, all-inclusive Breathless is among the best of the new resorts to open in Los Cabos during the post-2014 building boom. The resort opened in December 2015 and enjoys a superb location at the juncture of the Cabo San Lucas marina boardwalk and Médano Beach, with scenic views of the marina and wealthy hillside enclave Pedregal on one side, and the Sea of Cortés on the other. The accommodations and amenities are chic, sexy and will appeal to couples seeking romantic Land’s End getaways. In addition to its 169 suites, all with private balconies, the property boasts a superb spa, a plethora of onsite bars and restaurants – from the Barefoot Grill to VIP rooftop lounge Purple – as well as theme-oriented activities and happenings that include massage lessons, tequila tastings, and burlesque and fashion shows. Private dinners for two can be arranged on the beach, or at other select onsite locations.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Breathless is the newest adults-only, all-inclusive in Cabo San Lucas.

9. NOBU HOTEL LOS CABOS

Nobu’s best feature is almost certainly its eponymous restaurant from celebrated chef Nobu Matsuhisa, but the recently opened hotel at the upscale Diamante development on Cabo San Lucas’ spectacular Pacific Coast also offers some nice in-room romantic touches…most notably, the traditional Japanese wooden tubs, crafted from teak and perfect for extended soaks. It may seem strange to rave about bathrooms, but the bathtubs and river stone accented showers here are amazing. Ocean views also abound, of course, both at the two large, DJ-enhanced pool areas, as well as the adults-only pool with its breathtaking sunset vantages. Couples will also want visit the 13,700 square foot Esencia Spa, with its pampering treatment options, as well as the exceptional Malibu Farms farm-to-table restaurant. But Nobu Los Cabos restaurant is the must-try, naturally, for Japanese-Peruvian fusions, stunning design features, and unforgettable dining experiences.

Recommended for Romantic Hotels because: Nobu’s exquisitely designed rooms, baths, pool and spa are perfect for romantic getaways.

10. THE CAPE – A THOMPSON HOTEL

Few places on earth can match the setting of The Cape: A Thompson Hotel, the new boutique luxury property that opened in June 2015 in the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. The hotel commands sublime views of the evocatively-shaped rock formations at Land’s End from its beachfront home on Playa Monumentos, which itself is famed as one of the premier surf sites in Baja California Sur. Architect Javier Sánchez’s greatest achievement is making these views available from each of the hotel’s 161 rooms and suites, as well as its infinity pool, its acclaimed restaurant, its fashionable rooftop nightclub, its pampering spa…basically, from every available space on the property. The exterior is sleek and contemporary, the décor a nostalgic blending of 1960s moderne and surfer chic. The many black walls, like the black façade, are intended to make the views “pop;” as if there was any doubt of that considering the majestic location. The most notable amenity is Manta, the first Los Cabos restaurant from celebrated Mexican chef Enrique Olvera, who has had two restaurants – Pujol in Mexico City, and Cosme in New York City – ranked among the 100 best in the world.
