On-arrival visit visa

The on-arrival visit visas issued in Bahrain are of two types:

Single entry visit visa

The single entry visit visa is issued on arrival in Bahrain to eligible tourists or visitors provided their entry does not violate the security and national welfare of the Kingdom of Bahrain. However, to get approval for this visa some other conditions are also required to be met.

The visa can be used only once, for a single entry, and the length of stay allowed is 2 weeks (or longer for some nationalities). It is, however, extendable at NPRA (National Passports & Residence Affairs) in Bahrain on payment of a certain fee.

The total fee for the single entry on-arrival visit visa is BD 5.

Multiple entry visit visa

The on-arrival multiple entry visit visa is issued to eligible visitors or tourists, on arrival at any entry point for the Kingdom of Bahrain, provided their entry does not violate the security and national welfare of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visa fee, for this type of visit visa, is paid to the Passport Officer on arrival in Bahrain, and a receipt is issued.

However, to get approval for this visa some other conditions are also required to be met.

The length of stay allowed is 1 month, and the visa can be used for multiple entries to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

It is, however, extendable at NPRA (National Passports & Residence Affairs) in Bahrain on payment of a certain fee. The total fee for the multiple entry on-arrival visit visa is BD 25.

E-visa for visit purposes

Single entry e-visa

The visit single-entry visit visa is issued to eligible visitors or tourists online from Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior website provided they meet some of the conditions. The documents required are as follows:

• photocopy of the photo page of the applicant’s current valid passport.
• copy of return air ticket.
• copy of hotel booking in Bahrain (optional)

The visa can be used only once, for a single entry, and the length of stay allowed is 2 weeks.

The validity for this type of visa is 90 days, and it must be used within 90 days of approval. If the visa expires before entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the applicant must apply again, and another fee must be paid.
