Australia Agriculture Visa For Myanmar
Australia is set to offer a new agriculture visa to foreign workers from Myanmar, in a move aimed at boosting agriculture and technology links between the two countries. The new visa will be launched on Wednesday by Fiona Nash, the Minister for Regional Development Australia, according to an official statement issued by the Minister’s office.
The Australia Agriculture visa is an employer sponsored visa which allows you to live, work and stay in Australia. This visa is basically for people who are working in the agricultural industry in Australia and want to remain there for either a short or long period.
COVID-19 and Australian visas
The Australian government has announced measures to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the Australian
community.

arrangements including guidance on applying for an exemption to the current travel ban, mandatory quarantine
requirements and lodging a visa application.
The Australian Embassies in Bangkok and Yangon do not process exemption requests and are unable to respond to
enquiries regarding travel exemption requests.
Introduction of the Australian Travel Declaration
All travellers coming to Australia are now required to complete Australian Travel Declaration.
The Australian Travel Declaration is a form that collects information from you before you fly to Australia. The form will
ask for your flight details, quarantine requirements (if any), health status, and your contact details. This information is
provided to relevant health authorities in Australia to ensure they are able to contact you should someone on your
flight test positive for COVID-19.

Australian Biometrics Collection Centre operations in Myanmar
VFS Global has resumed limited operations of its Australian Biometrics Collection Centre (ABCC) in Yangon from 1
November for biometrics collection only. It is not possible to lodge a paper application.
