Albania Needs Visa For Japan

People of Albania, it’s time to be honest with yourselves and admit that you need a visa for Japan. Now, I can hear you responding with sounds of disbelief and panic as your current visas for the UK, the US and Australia are about to expire soon. But I won’t let that hinder my intentions. I’ve been to Japan 8 times and have a place in my heart for it.

While it’s true that in the beginning it was hard getting into the country — that’s because of the discriminatory immigration policies that once existed in Japan against “yellow races” — once you’re able to land there, all’s great! And if you can’t, it only means you haven’t tried hard enough!

The Albanian government decided to abolish the visa regime for five countries including the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Malaysia, Fiji, and Macedonia. Diplomatic sources say that this decision aims at increasing the number of tourists in Albania. The countries will be added to a list already containing Australia, Canada, and some Western European nations like Germany and France. According to the same source, a few documents have also been sent to other countries and entities.

Different countries have different visa policies. However, no country is too small for its visa policies to go unnoticed by the rest of the world. Albania is one such example. While citizens of over 40 countries can visit Japan without a visa, Albanian citizens are not welcome in this wonderful country.

How Can I Get a Visa?

If you are an Albanian citizen and you need to apply for a visa, follow these steps:

  • Find an embassy/consulate in your country. For a visa application, you have to find a representative office of the country you want to visit. Once you locate the embassy/consulate, contact the embassy to see what documents you need for the visa, and make sure you schedule an appointment with the office.
  • Prepare your documents. Before going to the visa interview, prepare the required documents if they need to be translated or an apostille stamp. Usually, for a tourist visa, you need the following documents:
    • Passport
    • Visa application form
    • Photographs
    • Health insurance
    • Proof of financial means
    • Proof of accommodation
    • Invitation letter (if applicable)
  • Attend the visa interview. Finally, you can go to the visa interview, and if required, submit your fingerprints. Afterward, you have to wait until a decision is made on your application. Then, if you get a visa, you can visit the destination country and stay there as long as the visa is valid.
