This 8-day Italy vacation will take you on an adventure through one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. Beginning with airfare included and ending at your final destination, this trip includes everything you need to explore Venice, Florence and Rome.

The Itinerary: Day 1 and 2: Fly to Venice, Italy

The first thing you’ll do is pick up your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel. Then, unpack and head out for a stroll around town. You could go for dinner in one of Venice’s many restaurants or have room service brought to you, but whatever time of day it is that you get back from exploring the city (and there are few places more worth exploring), I’d recommend having supper early as well—the early part of the evening offers some of the best photo opportunities in Venice as daylight fades into dusk. If possible, spend a night out on one of these boats so that when morning comes, you can see another side of this amazing city: its historic canal system by day!

The Itinerary: Day 3: Venice

After breakfast, you’ll head to the airport for your flight to Venice. You might think that a trip to Venice would be all about the canals, but there are plenty of other things to see here. The city is also known for its bridges, water taxis, gondolas and beautiful vistas.

This afternoon you will have free time on your own in this romantic city where couples come from all over the world just to get married (about 2/3 of marriages in Italy take place here). Take in some sights along one of many canals or wander through charming side streets where buildings date back hundreds of years!

The Itinerary: Day 4: Venice

Today, you will see some of Venice’s most iconic sights.

• St Mark’s Square: The city’s main square is an architectural masterpiece and a great place to watch the world go by. It also houses several museums, like the Correr Museum of Art and Modern Art Gallery of Venice.
• Rialto Bridge: This bridge was built in 1591 by architect Antonio da Ponte and spans across one end of the Grand Canal. It was built out of wood but finally received its current stone form during restoration efforts in 1950s and 1960s.
• Bridge of Sighs: The name comes from a story where prisoners would be taken across this bridge as they crossed into imprisonment at their sentencing hearing in Venice’s doge’s palace (see below). It can be found along the waterfront with views overlooking St Mark’s Basin at nightfall when all lights are on display—a truly amazing sight!
• Doge’s Palace: Built in 1338, this palace once served as home for Venetian rulers known as “doge” who ruled over regional government affairs throughout Italy until Napoleon conquered them during his reign over Europe in 1797-1798 CE (common era). Today it houses collections from both ancient art pieces such as sculptures to modern pieces such as paintings; explore both realms here!
• Basilica di San Marco: Also known colloquially among locals simply referred to as “St Marks”, this basilica houses some very important relics within its walls including bones believed once belonging biblically significant person named Matthew–one disciple who wrote one gospel according to Matthew found within New Testament Bible scripture!

The Itinerary: Day 5 and 6 – Florence

For this leg of the trip, you will be staying in Florence, Italy. This is a very popular city to visit with many museums, statues and art galleries. You’ll have plenty to see and do here.

• From Rome, take the train which costs about $15 per person each way. It takes about 2 hours to get there and is easy to find your way around once you arrive at the station.

It’s located right in downtown Florence so it’s an easy place to get around from (no need for taxis) but still close enough that it’s not too noisy when you want some peace and quiet after a long day of sightseeing! The Itinerary: Day 7 – Florence

You will be met by your private guide and tour escort, who will transfer you to Florence. Your first stop is Piazza della Signoria, famous as the site of one of Italy’s most important Renaissance sculpture collections. You’ll see Michelangelo’s David and several other large-scale works, including Donatello’s Judith and Holofernes.

Next up is a visit to San Lorenzo Basilica—home to Brunelleschi’s dome—and Santa Maria Novella Church with its Bell Tower where you can enjoy panoramic views of town (weather permitting). Then it’s just steps from here to Ponte Vecchio, an ancient bridge lined with shops selling jewelry and other fine goods since Medieval times. Your last stop before heading back to your hotel is the Accademia Gallery where you’ll spend some time admiring Michelangelo’s masterpieces: David or The Prisoners or unfinished statues Francesco d’Este and Ludovico Sforza di Santa Fiora in addition to his unfinished Moses which he completed after being commissioned by Pope Julius II at age 77!

The Itinerary: Day 8 – Fly Home From Florence, Italy

The last day of your Italy vacation will be spent flying home from Florence, Italy. After spending eight days in one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, you’ll be ready to return home with fond memories of your trip.
