WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
The Points Requirement for accountants has gone up.
Spots for accountants were filled very quickly and the government decided to allot invitations on a “PRO-RATA BASIS” Which simply means- higher your points, better your chance of getting invited. Very similar to university admissions which depend on your 12th grade scores.
Based on the results from September 2015 invitation round accountants are getting an ITA (invitation to apply) only if – either they scored 70+ points OR they lodged their application before 31st August 2015.
